Fittings and pipe connectors

Our 3/4" fittings and pipe connectors are made of black malleable cast iron. The fittings have standardized internal threads, a perfect fit for our 3/4" steel pipes and have a light film of oil. This protects the fitting from rust and can be removed with a cotton or fleece cloth. The remaining oil film will then evaporate by itself over time.

Our 3/4" steel pipes have a diameter of 26.9mm and are provided with a conical external thread. When screwing it into the fitting by hand, a small part of the external thread remains visible, this is quite normal. The color of our pipes is metallic , dark grey/anthracite.
Some of the pipes have different surfaces that can be traced back to the production process.Slight scratches or scrapes as well as abrasions are unavoidable, but support the industrial chic and give your furniture a very individual charm.

Tips for cleaning and assembly

When assembling your DIY piece of furniture, always use work gloves to protect your hands from the sometimes sharp-edged external threads of the pipes. In addition, your hands stay clean and you can start hanging or decorating immediately after assembling and cleaning the individual parts. We offer a special DIY cleaning set consisting of a pair of work gloves and a fleece cloth.
If there is too much dirt or residue of the oil film on the individual parts, you can also remove the dirt with a brake cleaner. You can get this in any common hardware store. To protect your floor we recommend attaching our self-adhesive felt pads, available for caps or flanges.

Care Tips

So that you can enjoy your DIY piece of furniture for a long time, we recommend that you refresh the steel pipe and fittings from time to time with oil (e.g. linseed oil varnish) or furniture wax. Cleaning and polishing steel pipe and fittings is the best way to prevent rust and corrosion.

If you have ordered several items with different delivery times, use the longest one. In order to leave the smallest possible ecological footprint, we send everything together, if possible in one package!

Our shipping prices include the shipping costs including customs processing fees. Please note that you will be charged additional customs fees. These are based on the rates applicable in your country.

Packaging
We think about the environment ♡

Packaging is essential so that you can receive your products protected and undamaged at home. Without packaging there would be more damaged products to be disposed of and more waste would be generated. That's why we pack in an environmentally friendly way. All of our cardboard boxes are made from 70% recycled raw materials and can then be recycled again. Our filling material is 100% recyclable. The exception is powder-coated models and our woods, to protect the surfaces we use environmentally friendly bubble wrap that is 80% recycled.

Please dispose of your boxes in the waste paper. The bubble wrap and the paper filling material can be reused and otherwise you can also dispose of it in the waste paper or in the residual waste!

Delays

Unfortunately, there can be short-term delays when our suppliers are at peak times or when there are material bottlenecks. If this is the case, we will of course inform you immediately by email. If you need your order by a certain date, please contact us in advance by email!

Logistics partner and shipment tracking

As soon as your order is ready for dispatch and handed over to our logistics partner GLS, we will send you your tracking number. We offer the Flex-Delivery Service in several countries, meaning you will receive an additional email from GLS in which you can track your package or make changes to the delivery. Choose from 6 different delivery options, even before the first delivery attempt. Please note that we unfortunately have no influence if there are delays on the part of our logistics partner. However, if you have been waiting for your package for a long time after the shipping confirmation or have other difficulties - please contact us at any time and we will help you!
